Tell A Story

Tell A Story

English

When Dance Tells Stories.

With “Tell A Story,” Lea Nardon and Mara Peyer have created a dance platform that takes a different approach to competitions and stage performances: the focus is on more than technique and perfection—it is on the story a choreography tells.

The idea is simple yet ambitious: dancers and choreographers bring their own creations to the stage, translating emotions, creativity and personal stories into movement. Through “Tell A Story: The Showcase,” “Tell A Story Kids” and “Tell A Story: The Competition,” the project reaches across generations, creating space for both emerging talent and established dancers.

While the Showcase deliberately leaves out judges and competitive pressure, the Competition on 29 November 2026 turns the stage into a contest. What matters is not only how precisely a choreography is performed, but also whether it moves the audience and conveys a story.

Behind the project are two women with deep roots in the Swiss dance scene. Lea Nardon also leads the dance crew The Arts of Generation, which won the prestigious Swiss street dance competition Masters on Stage three years in a row.

Masters on Stage is one of Switzerland’s established street dance competitions, bringing the country’s eight best crews to the stage each year. The teams perform their own shows before the top three compete in an impromptu challenge, followed by a freestyle battle for the title of “Master on Stage.” All dance styles are welcome—from hip-hop and house to contemporary, ballet and jazz.

With “Tell A Story,” Lea Nardon and Mara Peyer are taking things a step further: dance should do more than impress—it should tell a story. A platform for creativity, individuality and a Swiss dance culture that continues to evolve.
