LIL GLEE

LIL GLEE

English

Lil Glee is part of the Swiss underground scene. She has already built her own world on SoundCloud — somewhere between attitude, chaos and uncompromising style. This year, she took things a step further: Swiss German.

What might seem like a small language switch is more of a statement for Lil Glee. She takes her English-influenced style and translates it into the language she actually speaks — direct, raw and without worrying about whether people outside Switzerland will understand it.

With lines like “Du chasch mini Muschi nuggle” (“You can suck my pussy”), she makes it clear pretty quickly that she isn’t here to make herself more palatable to the mainstream.

Her latest track, “Gucci-Schueh,” has made a real impact. The video is racking up views and likes, and the reactions are no longer coming exclusively from Switzerland. Lil Glee is also on the radar in Germany, especially in Berlin. Shortly after the release, she took the stage there, sessions followed, and creators from around the world are reacting to her Swiss German sound.

The interesting part? You don’t have to understand every word to get Lil Glee. The flow, the attitude and her own distinct world speak for themselves. With that, Lil Glee confidently shows that Swiss German doesn’t have to be a barrier. It can just as easily be her weapon.
