From viral piano covers to fears of an AI-dominated music industry, Khaila proves that classical music is anything but outdated.
Whether through viral piano covers or her own compositions, Khaila blends classical music with a unique aesthetic. The pianist, composer, and producer has already worked with artists like CIVAN, and her piano can also be heard on a track by Reezy. But alongside producing for others, she is increasingly releasing music of her own.
With “Nightmare,” Khaila reveals a particularly personal side of herself. The piece was born out of a year filled with sleepless nights and emotional challenges. Creating something beautiful out of difficult experiences is her way of processing what she went through, she shared on social media. The response to the composition shows just how deeply her music resonates with people.
But “Nightmare” is more than an emotional piano piece. In the accompanying visual, Khaila explores a future in which AI takes over the music industry and suddenly anyone can produce songs. What happens to art when it can be created at the push of a button? And do we risk losing sight of what makes music truly special: personality, emotion, and genuine creativity?
Khaila also challenges another stereotype: classical music isn't just the domain of older white men. Through her own compositions and modern interpretations, she shows that young female artists have a place in the genre, too — and can actively shape its future.
Khaila creates music that isn't just meant to be heard, but felt. She reminds us that behind every note played by a human lies a story that AI cannot tell in quite the same way.
