There are days when your mind suddenly feels clear again. Space for a thought that has been quietly lingering in the back of your mind for a long time. For a conversation that lasts longer than expected. For a new idea. Or simply for the realization that you are exactly where you need to be. That is precisely what IUONO HOUSE is all about.
Launched in April this year, the retreat brings together women from the creative industries who are making things happen, building something of their own, and forging their own paths. Freelancers, founders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and women who often have little time to pause amid ideas, projects, responsibilities, and the everyday mental load.
Not a traditional business retreat, and certainly not a tightly scheduled networking event. Instead, it is a thoughtfully curated escape where community, creativity, and a certain way of life come together. The locations change, and each experience is individually tailored to its surroundings. Food, movement, nature, workshops, and shared experiences come together to create a programme that feels less like an agenda and more like the perfect day.
The September edition brought participants to the south of France for five days. Mornings began with Pilates, yoga, or meditation, followed by leisurely breakfasts and conversations that everyday life rarely leaves enough time for. In between, there were new impressions, shared activities, and moments that did not need to be planned to become unforgettable. Chef Emma took care of the culinary experience, preparing meals for the group every day. Even the honey was made especially for the retreat.
These are the details that make IUONO HOUSE what it is: the feeling that someone has taken care of everything so that you can simply be present.
And perhaps that is the real idea behind it all. Anyone working in the creative industries knows what it feels like to constantly have something on their mind: the next project, the next idea, the next deadline. For a few days, IUONO HOUSE creates the opposite. A place where you do not have to perform, but can simply be. Where strangers can become familiar faces within days, and a conversation over breakfast might lead to a new collaboration, a friendship, or a door opening that you never knew existed.
“Women who open doors for each other” is more than just a beautiful idea. Community lies at the heart of the concept. And because a space like this should not remain accessible only to a privileged few, a place was offered for the September retreat. A woman from the creative industry was able to participate even though she could not have afforded the experience at the time. A small gesture, yet also a statement about the kind of community IUONO HOUSE wants to build.
Following two retreats this year, the journey continues in 2027. Three new experiences are already planned: May 3–8, September 16–21, and October 4–9.
Three dates, three locations, new faces, and most likely plenty of conversations that begin over breakfast and continue well into the evening.
Because sometimes, it does not take much to reconnect with yourself and your ideas: a beautiful place, good food, a few days away from the everyday, and a group of women who understand what it means to build something of your own.
